Hi...Since you took the time to visit, I thought you might like to know a little bit about me. I'm a mother and
grandmother, and I live in the country on a small farm. I have been here since 1974 and raised 3 sons. I have always loved the outdoors so the wide open spaces
suits me.
I have a Cherokee heritage so I have been on a quest to learn about the people, culture, history and my ancestry. It has been quite an exciting journey for me
and I have learned more than I had hoped...Since I was a young woman I have enjoyed writing poetry when inspired. Through the years I ended up with a
collection of what I like to call "Poetry for all Seasons" since they are from life's experiences...You will find all of this in my
"Cherokee Journey" and if you would like to visit, please click on the picture above.
Thanks for coming by.

Ripples of a
Thrown Stone
by SnowBird
I threw a stone into a quiet pond.
The ripple goes out in a circle round.
Suddenly a thought of insight and revelation
How a word like the stone makes a creation.
Something said which seems small no doubt
Begins to grow and the circle reaches out.
It encompasses all who gets in the way.
A word of stone could hurt some day.
But an uplifting word in a compliment,
Is a far reaching ripple of encouragement.
